About the Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society

Some of the best travel happens in good company. Suitcases & Savoir Faire Society is our travel club for people who'd rather explore a place alongside others who appreciate it the way they do, without the compromises of a big tour group or the planning burden of doing it solo.

Membership is $97 a year and gets you access to every trip we run, invitations to member gatherings around Houston, and a spot in our active Facebook community where the group keeps in touch between trips.

Featured Trip: Immersive New Zealand

April 14–25, 2027 · Starting from $7,320 per person, double occupancy

Twelve days across two islands, and I'll be there for every one of them.

This is the trip I'm most excited about this year. Geothermal pools in Rotorua, a glowworm-lit kayak at twilight, the fiords of Milford Sound- New Zealand has a way of surprising you even when you think you know what to expect. I've built this journey to give you the full range: culture, adventure, and quiet, at a pace that still feels like a vacation instead of a checklist.

What's included:

  • Ten nights across four hand-picked hotels, from Auckland's waterfront to the heart of Queenstown

  • A guided panoramic tour of Auckland plus the All Blacks Experience, capped off with a welcome dinner high above the city at Orbit 360°

  • A Waiheke Island food and wine tour by ferry from Auckland

  • The Hobbiton Movie Set tour, with lunch included

  • An immersive Māori cultural evening at Te Puia, complete with a traditional welcome ceremony and dinner

  • A restorative soak at Wai Ariki Hot Springs, followed by a glowworm kayak tour at twilight

  • The scenic drive through the Mackenzie Basin to Lake Tekapo en route to Queenstown

  • A full day exploring Middle-earth filming locations with Nomad Safaris

  • A coach and cruise excursion through Milford Sound

  • A farewell dinner at Momentos By The Lake

I'll be traveling alongside our group the entire time, so if you've ever wanted a trip where the planning is handled and the company is good, this is it
