FAQs

What exactly does a luxury travel advisor do?

1

I help design and manage every detail of your trip - from picking the right island or resort to coordinating flights, transfers, and special experiences. You get a seamless, custom escape without the stress of planning.

Do you charge a planning fee?

2

Yes - I charge a professional planning fee based on the scope of your trip. It reflects the time, research, and concierge-level care I provide - and allows me to create something truly tailored to you.

💡 A common misconception is that it costs more to book through a travel advisor - but in many cases, I can access exclusive rates, perks, and upgrades you won’t find online, helping you get more value from your investment.

What destinations do you specialize in?

3

My focus is upscale beach destinations - especially Hawaii, French Polynesia, Fiji, and wellness-forward coastal escapes around the world. If it’s serene, sunny, and high-end, I probably know it well.

How do you help me choose the right island or resort?

4

Each client is different - so I take time to understand your travel style, pace, and preferences. Whether it’s a family-friendly resort on Maui or an adults-only overwater bungalow in Bora Bora, I’ll match you to what fits you best.

Can you plan wellness retreats or experiences?

5

Yes. Many of my clients are looking for more than relaxation - they want renewal. I work with trusted partners who offer spa rituals, yoga, sound healing, plant-based cuisine, and spaces that feel truly restorative.

Are there perks or upgrades when I book through you?

6

Often, yes. Through my affiliation with Exemplary Travel Advisors and Signature Travel Network, I offer VIP perks like resort credits, room upgrades (when available), daily breakfast, and early check-in/late checkout at hundreds of luxury properties.

How far in advance should I book a luxury trip to Hawaii or the South Pacific?

7

For peak travel seasons, which run roughly December through March and June through August, six to nine months out is the sweet spot for most luxury properties. Certain resorts fill coveted suite categories and overwater bungalows well before that, and the experiences that make a trip memorable, private charters, signature dining reservations, spa bookings, don't hold.

If you're planning around a milestone like a honeymoon or anniversary, or traveling as a group, I'd say start the conversation even earlier. The short answer: the moment you know you want to go, reach out. There's no such thing as too early.

Is it worth hiring a luxury travel advisor for Hawaii, or can I just book it myself?

8

You can book it yourself. The information is out there. But knowing which resort to book and knowing which room category, which side of the property, which experiences to request and how to actually get them, that's a different thing entirely. My clients aren't paying for access to information. They're paying to not spend fifteen hours researching a trip they could spend those fifteen hours enjoying instead.

And the practical reality: through my preferred partnerships, most clients receive perks, upgrades, and resort credits that offset my planning fee entirely. You're not paying more. You're getting more.
